Salesperson – to become a licensed salesperson in Georgia the applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age;
- Holder of a high school diploma or GED equivalent;
- Complete a 75 hour approved course of study either in-class or on-line. (Note – a person may exempt the 75-hour course requirement through the use of their college level credits in real estate related course(s) from an accredited college or university. - Pass the state administered exam with a minimum score of 75%.
- Provide an acceptable Criminal History Report at the time of obtaining the license. Broker – to be eligible for a broker license, a candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 21 years of age;
- Holder of a high school diploma or GED equivalent;
- Complete a 60-hour approved course of study either in-class or on-line; (Note: a person may exempt the 60 hour course requirement through the use of their college level credits in real estate related course(s) from an accredited college or University. - Pass the state administered exam.
